Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's status for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans is in doubt due to a rib injury suffered late in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Stafford's X-rays were negative, interim head coach Darrell Bevell said Monday, according to Brad Galli of WXYZ Detroit.

"This will be a deal where we'll take it to the end of the week," Bevell said, per MLive's Benjamin Raven.

The Lions initially listed Stafford as questionable to face the Packers due to a thumb ailment.

The 32-year-old has completed 63.9% of his passes this season while throwing for 3,522 yards and 22 touchdowns against nine interceptions through 13 this season.

Veteran Chase Daniel will start at quarterback for the Lions if the team rules Stafford out.

Stafford missed eight games to injury last season. Detroit went 0-8 with the one-time Pro Bowler sidelined.

The 5-8 Lions are currently ranked last in the NFC North.
