Chargers' Allen, Williams active vs. Raiders but reportedly on rep count
Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are active for Thursday night's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, both players will be on a rep count for the AFC West showdown, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Allen and Williams were reportedly in danger of missing the game with a hamstring and back injury, respectively.
Allen has developed instant chemistry with rookie quarterback Justin Herbert this season, leading the league with 144 targets.
The veteran wideout enters Week 15 with the second-most catches (99), behind Stefon Diggs, and tops all Chargers pass-catchers with eight touchdown receptions.
Meanwhile, Williams is second on L.A.'s squad in receiving yards (572) and touchdown catches (four).
If the Chargers do limit the workloads of Allen and Williams against the Raiders, tight end Hunter Henry and wideout Jalen Guyton are likely in line for expanded roles.
The 4-9 Chargers have been eliminated from playoff contention but can play spoiler against their division rivals. The 7-6 Raiders sit just outside of a wild-card spot and likely need to win out to make the postseason.
