Three Hamilton men charged with child pornography offences
Three Hamilton men are facing child pornography charges after investigations by the Hamilton police internet child exploitation (ICE) unit.
The charges stem from three unrelated investigations into child pornography being shared online.
In November the ICE unit was granted warrants to search the suspects' residences, police said. The three men were arrested.
During one search police found psilocybin (magic mushrooms) that police allege were produced for personal use.
A 35-year-old Hamilton man is charged with distribution and possession of child pornography.
A 25-year-old Hamilton man is charged with distribution of child pornography, making child pornography readily available, two counts of possession of child pornography, production of psilocybin and possession of psilocybin.
A 20-year-old Hamilton man is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.
Other police units helped with the investigation, including technological crimes, vice and drugs and uniform patrol.
The investigation is ongoing, including devices seized being forensically examined.
Anyone with information on these crimes can call the ICE unit at 905-540-5247.
