The Houston Texans interviewed Jim Caldwell for their head coaching vacancy on Monday.
Caldwell previously served as coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2009-11 and the Detroit Lions from 2014-17. He owns a career record of 62-50.
Caldwell also served as an assistant head coach with the Colts under Tony Dungy from 2002-08 before his promotion to the head job.
The 65-year-old's last job in the NFL was with the Miami Dolphins in 2019 as an assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach.
The Texans fired Bill O'Brien after an 0-4 start to the season. Assistant Romeo Crennel has taken over in the interim.
