pm-utils gone, where is the suspend in xfce?
by brobr from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5C00S)
After the last big upgrade (which I just manage to do today) there is no longer a 'suspend' option on the XFCE panel logout button. Also there is no longer an option to set 'suspend' in the power manager for when closing the lid (quite handy when working with a laptop on the go).
The sleep button on my keyboard works though (Fn + F12), but closing the lid only turns screen off, music keeps going..... (so no automatic suspend)
I have nothing from the kde/kdei-folders installed and don't like to install kde just to get a login manager; I use the simple log-in manager Slim for that (from SlackBuilds.org).
I understand that pm-utils was made redundant with elogind coming in but maybe not covering this use case?
Is there a workaround or do I have to live with Fn + F12 before rushing off to the train?
Cheers,
rob
