Kupp on COVID-19 list before crucial finale vs. Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp hit the COVID-19 list Tuesday, jeopardizing his status for the vital Week 17 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced.
The Rams, Cardinals, and Chicago Bears are in a race for the final two wild cards in the NFC. Whoever wins between the Rams and Cardinals will guarantee themselves a playoff berth. If the Rams lose, they'll need the Bears to lose to get in.
The Rams already ruled out quarterback Jared Goff for the regular-season finale after he underwent thumb surgery following Week 16. Los Angeles is optimistic Goff can return for the first round of the playoffs if the team gets there.
Kupp leads the Rams in receiving with 92 catches and 974 yards. The 27-year-old hasn't missed a game since tearing his ACL in 2018.
