Installed Debian 10 LXQt - having some issues

Due to issues with another distro I had installed as the host OS (with Debian in a VirtualBox), I decided to install Debian 10 LXQt directly to the hard drive and am having some issues.

1. Would like the NUM LOCK to turn on when logging in, do not know where the SDDM config file is and what to add to it. On https://wiki.debian.org/SDDM#System-wide_configuration, the stated locations for the config file, do not exist.

2. HPLIP is installed, along with hplip-gui and neither the HPLIP Toolbox nor hp-systray will launch. hp-systray (the HP icon) is listed as something that will launch automatically at login and when selecting HPLIP Toolbox on the LXQt Preferences menu, nothing happens. I was able to add the printer using hp-setup in a terminal window, but this apparently caused the printer to be listed twice in all printer dialogs.

Would appreciate any assistance. Thank you in advance.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=oefS_oxUBiE:hJLXuO07C8s:F7zBnMy latest?i=oefS_oxUBiE:hJLXuO07C8s:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=oefS_oxUBiE:hJLXuO07C8s:gIN9vFwoefS_oxUBiE
