Screenshot to DTP in least clicks?

On Mac I use cmd+shift+4, select and area, screenshot and then immediately drag that into the PAGES app. I can also copy and paste the shot into an app very quickly.
On linux I need to save the file first, browse etc. It's so slow that I can't use it for live presentations.
