Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff is questionable for Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Seattle Seahawks due to a thumb injury, according to Omar Ruiz of NFL Network.

Goff missed Week 17 after undergoing surgery. John Wolford played in his place against the Arizona Cardinals and would presumably get the nod in the first round of the playoffs if Goff is unable to go.

Wolford helped L.A. secure its third postseason berth in four seasons under head coach Sean McVay. The backup completed 22 of 38 passes for 231 yards and one interception in the win over the Cardinals, adding 56 rushing yards on six carries.

Goff resumed throwing on Wednesday. McVay said he doesn't plan to announce his starter this week, presumably to force Seattle to prepare for both options.

Goff completed 67% of his passes for 3,952 yards and 20 touchdowns against 13 interceptions in 15 starts. His passer rating of 90.0 ranked 23rd in the NFL.

The Rams received positive injury news Thursday as they activated left tackle Andrew Whitworth off injured reserve following a torn MCL in November.
