'At a standstill': Multiple lanes blocked on QEW in Oakville as bad crash and vehicle fire causing major traffic problems

The OPP are investigating a crash on the QEW in Oakville that has led to multiple lane closures and major traffic issues.

The collision that occurred on the Toronto-bound QEW near Trafalgar Road occurred around 8 a.m. and led to a vehicle catching fire.

"It's at a standstill," tweeted Tom Genarro, who decided to take Cornwall Road to work.

At least one person has been injured as the OPP, Oakville firefighters and Halton Region Paramedics have responded.

"All lanes blocked," the Ministry of Transportation said in a tweet.
