Hamilton police are warning drivers to be cautious on slick roads after a spike in crashes on icy roads Tuesday.
Between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 12, police were called to 48 collisions on city roads, said Const. Krista-Lee Ernst.
No one suffered life-threatening injuries in any of the crashes, she said.
In one crash on Governors Road just before 3 p.m., a car lost control and rolled three times, travelling 87 meters. The driver suffered minor injuries.
On Wednesday morning, police once again warned drivers to be cautious. A freezing drizzle advisory was in effect, but has since ended.
