Halton police chase spans Oakville and Burlington as stolen vehicles rams 2 cop cars
Halton Regional Police are investigating a bizarre incident that started in Burlington and ended in Oakville early Friday (Jan. 15).
Officers were investigating what was believed to be a stolen vehicle in Aldershot in the area of Plains Road East and Lasalle Park Road early Friday when it suddenly rammed a police cruiser and fled the scene, jumping onto nearby Highway 403 and heading to Oakville, police said.
It rammed another vehicle as it attempted to escape in the area of Valleyridge Drive and Highbourne Crescent, police said.
No injuries were reported and police now have two people in custody, officers tweeted around 2:45 a.m.
The incident spanned about 20 kilometres.
