Kubuntu 20.10 + KDE Partition Manager
by vmelkon from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5CXSA)
With Kubuntu 18.04 LTS, I have used KDE Partition Manager a few times to format a USB key (USB thumb drive) as a NTFS or FAT32 or exFat.
It worked fine.
I have Kubuntu 20.10 and it fails.
When I launch KDE Partition Manager, it asks for a admin pwd, just like on Kubuntu 18.04.
I am able to delete existing partition.
I click on New Partition Table.
I choose MS-DOS and I click on Create New Partition Table.
I click on Apply.
It succeeds.
I try to create a FAT32 partition.
I click on Apply.
I get
Code:Create a new partition (28.92 GiB, fat32) on /dev/sdd'
Job: Create new partition on device /dev/sdd'
Command: sfdisk --force --append /dev/sdd
Failed to add partition New Partition' to device /dev/sdd'.
