Minimum set of modules for Python idle3

Python 3 Idle expects a subprocess for some of its functionality. Can anyone be so kind as to list the minimum set of modules from the standard Slackware installation to satisfy this? My installation has very few of the 'n' packages as I use another computer to connect to the internet.
