Bucs' Vea set to return for NFC title game
Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea is eligible to play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers after being activated to the 53-man roster, the team announced Friday.
Vea has been out since October after fracturing his ankle. It was initially feared he would miss the rest of the campaign.
The 25-year-old was designated to return from injured reserve Monday and returned to practice two days later.
The Bucs run D is always great, but it's just nasty if Vita Vea returns.

Teams ran the ball 85 times when Vea was on the field this year, averaging 2.68 yards. No rush went for longer than 14 yards and 18 of them went for 0 or negative yards.
A dominant force.
Vea racked up 10 tackles and two sacks through five games. His return should be a major boost for a unit tasked with containing star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back Aaron Jones.
