operating system for low specs pc hardware

hello, my hardware specs are:
Ram- 2GB
Processor-intel core 2 duo
HDD-32 GB pendrive
i am "not" able to run nixos plasma 20.09 smoothly, can anyone please "suggest me any old os" , any kind of operating system in which i can work smoothly on this hardware configuration.
