Linux desktop: intermittent wifi connection problems - how to debug/verify
by karll from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DESG)
I have an old Dell Precision M3800 laptop with Fedora 33.
Generally, the wifi works OK, but I lose the connection fairly often, so then it reconnects, and this usually takes some time. It's especially noticeable while I'm in video conference meetings ....
I have a suspicion the problem is related to signal interference from other wifi devices within the household.
Where do I begin? Is this of any help?
$ dmesg | grep -i wifi
[ 5.682618] Intel(R) Wireless WiFi driver for Linux
[ 5.694457] iwlwifi 0000:06:00.0: loaded firmware version 17.3216344376.0 7260-17.ucode op_mode iwlmvm
