Ahead of his 10th Super Bowl, Tom Brady paid homage to the team he made his first nine big-game appearances with.

"I had an incredible 20 years (with the New England Patriots) and I wouldn't change anything," said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback on Thursday, according to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.

"My kids were born in Boston," he added. "I have great affection for the city, everything that Boston has meant to me and my family. All of New England, not just Boston."

Brady said his first season with the Bucs has been "magical" after shocking the football world by leaving New England in free agency to sign a two-year deal with the NFC South club, according to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald.

The 43-year-old was coming off one of his worst campaigns in 2019 but defied expectations to lead Tampa Bay back to the Super Bowl for the first time in 18 years. Brady did so while throwing the second-most touchdowns of his career with 40, trailing only his then-NFL record 50 scores in 2007.

If Brady's to build upon his record six Super Bowl titles, he'll have to outduel arguably the new face of the NFL in Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Though Mahomes already owns a Super Bowl ring and an MVP award, he's still at the end of just his third season as a starter.

Meanwhile, Brady is the most experienced postseason player in NFL history. His 33 playoff wins are more than double that of second-placed Joe Montana (16), and his 80 touchdown passes are 35 more than the nearest other quarterbacks' (Montana and Aaron Rodgers each have 45)

But Brady knows all of that won't matter come Feb. 7 in Tampa Bay if he can't keep pace with the high-flying Chiefs.

"Experience doesn't matter. Playing the best matters," said Brady.
