Building cudatoolkit 11.2 on -current
by wirelessmc from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DGR0)
I am running a very recent install of s*64-current. This new system will build the cudatoolkit with Ponce's Slackbuild script for 10.2.89 (on github) but the kernel, nvidia-driver [460.32.03-x86_64] and nvidia-kernel [460.32.03_5.10.9] packages are all too new to work with that version of the cudatoolkit. It looks like I will have to get cudatoolkit 11+ version to build - and of course Ponce's Slackbuild script won't build a newer version. I've tried modifying his script but the source trees are totally different.
I am asking if anyone has had success building an 11+ version on a recently updated Slackware64-current. I downloaded the Ubuntu .run [cuda_11.2.0_460.27.04_linux.run] from the nvidia developer site but have yet to try building this directly. I suspect this will need a significant amount of patching to work on Slackware.
