[SOLVED] Mirroring second screen

Hello,
I have an all in one Dell, the screen has gone, and waiting for a replacement I want to use a second screen via VGA.
When I turn it on there is no task bar etc, so I cannot use it. I need to therefore mirror the other screen, but must do it via the terminal
Can anyone help please.
