UVC video camera not working in Microsoft Teams meetings
by pisti from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DNKK)
i am having trouble to get Microsoft Teams working on my Slackware 14.2 box. audio and microphone only work reliably through the browser-based mode.
but my old Logitech QuickCam UVC camera doesn't work at all in the browser-based mode nor with teams, the 'app' executable, although it is recognized in both cases. i installed the binary files either using MS' Debian package or the SlackBuilds package but neither of these methods activated the camera - although it was each time recognized and shown in the GUI menu for selection. does anybody know how to activate a video camera in MS Teams ?
my USERname is associated with the video group in /etc/group (though i don't know why i am seeing a comma there) :

needless to say that this very same camera & machine setup works just fine for GoToMeeting, Google Hangout/Meet and Zoom meetings !
