upgrading libreoffice

I like to keep my libreoffice installation up to date, so when a new version comes out I download it from libreoffice site as a bunch of debs (ubuntu) and install then with dpkg. Installation itself works fine but every time minor version number changes the previous version is not removed so I have to do it manually - locate all the packages and mark them for removal, update shorcuts. Tedious. Am I missing a trick here, is there a way to automate it?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=myZZMNIxo-8:7J0BQ8Du_LE:F7zBnMy latest?i=myZZMNIxo-8:7J0BQ8Du_LE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=myZZMNIxo-8:7J0BQ8Du_LE:gIN9vFwmyZZMNIxo-8
