upgrading libreoffice
by lvm_ from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DPPC)
I like to keep my libreoffice installation up to date, so when a new version comes out I download it from libreoffice site as a bunch of debs (ubuntu) and install then with dpkg. Installation itself works fine but every time minor version number changes the previous version is not removed so I have to do it manually - locate all the packages and mark them for removal, update shorcuts. Tedious. Am I missing a trick here, is there a way to automate it?
