Buster creating unwanted ramdisk?

I installed Buster for the first time today. Firefox and other things keep crashing because my .cache directory has suddenly been moved to /.ramdisk/bob/.cache. Any ideas what's going on here? This latest time, it "may" have happened when the iagno game app crashed.
