openelec,libreelec,osmc current vs stable issue
by glorsplitz from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DVX3)
I have a couple slackware servers, slackwarearm current and x86_64 slackware stable all up to date.
I had OpenELEC/Kodi installed on rpi3 and was getting some playback errors on videos
from the current server but NOT from the stable server, the same videos.
I looked into what might be going on with OpenELEC and found it's not being maintained
and to use LibreELEC, which I tried and ran into the same situation.
I'm now trying OSMC and looks like same thing is happening.
I thought anything to do with playing music, videos, showing pictures was all on the
device Kodi is installed on.
This just started happening maybe like past two weeks.
I setup both servers on same device so I could follow what happens in the log
when each file is played and there's like frame rate this, audio that.
The files are identical, exactly the same. Forgot to mention they're nfs exports.
The only difference is the server, one is slackwarearm current, other is x86_64 slackware stable.
Obviously there's been large number of updates recent, not sure where/what to investigate. Thanks
