Allo,

QUESTION:
Is there some magical way to get back the speaker icon on the system tray?

LONG VERSION:
I was having audio problems since I have installed Kubuntu 20.10 a few months ago.
When I boot up, and log in, sometimes, there is no audio.
The speaker icon (on the system tray) has a red bar.
If I click on the speaker icon, a message says:
No ouput or input devices found

I ran
Code:$ pulseaudio --version
pulseaudio 13.99.2Code:$ sudo apt autoremove pulseaudioreboot PC and the speaker icon is now gone

Code:$ sudo apt install pulseaudioreboot PC.
I'm not sure if my sound problem is solved.
The speaker icon does not show up. I could not figure out how to add it but I can add a calendar, network, analog clock, calculator.
I tried youtube and the sound was working but like I said, I don't know if this sound problem is solved.

Is there some magical way to get back the speaker icon on the system tray?
