Report: Watson intrigued by Broncos, 49ers as trade destinations
Deshaun Watson is intrigued by the possibility of being traded to the Denver Broncos or San Francisco 49ers, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
The Miami Dolphins are also a more viable landing spot than the New York Jets, two teams that have also been connected to Watson, Fowler adds.
The Houston Texans quarterback has been linked to numerous clubs since reportedly submitting a trade request.
Kareem Jackson, a member of the Broncos and former teammate of Watson, claimed the signal-caller expressed interest in coming to Denver.
The 25-year-old passer has control over his next destination due to a no-trade clause in his contract.
Texans chairman Cal McNair reiterated his desire to retain Watson on Friday.
"There is a lot of misinformation out there, I'll leave it at that," McNair said, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "Deshaun is our quarterback, he is a Texan, and we expect him to remain a Texan, and we'll leave that."
