Need solution for dual wan while keeping everything on the same network.

I'm having exactly zero success with OPNSense and I've about had it. I was gonna do that instead of roll my own with iptables but it's just not working out. I guess I'm just not understanding how the firewall rules work. That and massive packet loss after a wan unplug / plug back in for test. Perfectly stable before, after I'm getting 30% packet loss over a 4 foot ethernet cable.
Is there an easy way to do this? My goal is simple. Single box to keep everything on the same lan. Direct specific IP's to one wan, everything else to the other. Maybe a script to make switching WAN easy for those IP's if my internet drops. Where I live fixed wireless is the order of the day, usually quite stable but occasionally it just lags out.
My hair is falling on the ground at this point.
