by Zandrews from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5E5BF)
Recently set up kali live to run on my MacBook. Got everything up and going this afternoon except wifi.
Info:

0: hci0 Bluetooth
Softblocked: no
Hardblocked: no

Hardblocked: no
Lo no wireless extensions
Wlan IEEE 802.11 ESSID:off/any
Mode:managed Access Point: not-associated
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off

That's all the details I know how to find. My issue is it's a wifi only MacBook pro. No hardwire poet.
I'm assuming this is a driver issue. Any suggestions on this. Pretty new to Linux and trying to learn.
