A couple odd issues with KDE5 on Slackware64 -current
by The_Dark_Passenger from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5EAYZ)
Hello,
I've been using KDE5 on my Slackware64 -current system since the official "vtown" release. I've had a couple odd bug that have been happening at times on my system though and I thought I should bring them up as Slackware64 15.0's release is approaching.
One issue is that after my session is locked and my 3 monitors enter their sleep mode, sometimes after waking them up and unlocking the session the right side monitor's workspace is blank. The background is gone and all that is there is a black screen. I am unable to use that monitor for anything until I reboot or kill the X session and login again.
Also, a second issue is that sometimes after unlocking my session the backgrounds aspect ratio is off. Again this seems to only occur from what I have noticed after the monitors entered sleep mode and were then woken up.
I've looked through the X session logs and didn't notice anything out of the usual. I'll grab them entirely the next time this happens though and update this thread.
I'm curious if anyone else has been having this issue?
Below are my workstation's specifications:
System: Dell Precision 7920 Tower
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon Silver 4116
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro P2000 (Running NVIDIA driver 460.39)
RAM: 64GB ECC DDR4-2400
