How install slackware on VDS (lilo/grub error)

Hello

I would like to install Slackware-current on VDS server.
I tried it but I could not install lilo or grub.
Lilo:
Code:LILO gives Fatal : raid_setup : stat ("dev/vda")Grub:
Code:grub-install /dev/vda
or
grub-install --target i386-pc /dev/vda

I am sure it has a solution.
