Need help performing education/ethical password attack

I have a text file saved on my Linux box that contains MD5 hashed passwords for a 100 user, and for educational purposes, I'd like to perform dictionary attack using my rockyoufile.txt. Is there a way to create a bash script to computer the hashes for all users password in my file1.text using md5sum and then compare and see if there any password that can be recovered. your help or just the idea on how to get this done is highly appreciated
