Philosophicaly neutral software

I am aggressively moving away from vendors with philosophical agendas. Simplicity without glitter is important. No sizzle, just the steak, so to speak.
My current browser is Midori but the bookmarking is a sometimes thing. Have I tripped over something that can be fixed or do I need to move on?
Linux Mint 21 on fitlab2 box.
