ExpressVPN Firefox extension won't connect or disconnects randomly. Ubuntu 20.10

My ExpressVPN Firefox extension keeps disconnecting in Ubuntu 20.10; it seems to happen when a webpage takes too long to load (for whatever reason).
I played around with DNS and IpV4/IpV6 to try to get expressvpn to connect, but nothing worked, so I set everything back to default settings.
Then I found that changing my protocol worked but it's not reliable so I just keept changing my server location until it connects again; but there's no reliable method to get it to stay connected. It's extremely frustrating!
Also, some websites mysteriously won't load without expressvpn being connected; they were working just fine and then just stopped loading; I made no changes to anything that I'm aware of.
I'm running ClamTK. My UFW firewall is disabled.
When I reboot my system and connect to VPN it works right away, til it doesn't!...
Any help is much appreciated!
