Distro suggestions for media server?

Looking for a stable distro that will acomodate both Gerbera and Kodi dnla/UPnP media servers. I have tried Mint, KDENeon and KUbuntu. I'm partial (but not married to) to the KDE desktop. Mint moved away from KDE, Neon was too "bleeding edge" and KUbuntu did not like talking with dnla/UPnP.Open to any and all ideas. Thanks in advance!
