Butler erases 19-point deficit, beats Xavier in OT in major blow to Muskateers’ tournament hopes

The Butler Bulldogs trailed the Xavier Muskateers by as many as 19 points in the first half of their first-round Big East Tournament matchup, but they clawed back, forced overtime, and ultimately held on, 70-69. Xavier, a team squarely on the bubble, may have seen its NCAA Tournament hopes go up in smoke with the loss.
