Report: Titans signing Dupree to multi-year deal worth $16.5M annually
The Tennessee Titans are signing pass-rusher Bud Dupree to a multi-year deal worth $16.5 million annually, sources told Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
The Titans made a strong push to sign the former Pittsburgh Steelers standout with a host of other teams firmly in the mix for his signature, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The Titans are sorely in need of an effective pass-rusher. Tennessee finished third-last in the NFL with 19 sacks. The team signed Jadeveon Clowney and Vic Beasley before the 2020 season, but neither addition provided even a single sack.
Dupree registered eight sacks in 11 games last season and 11.5 in 2019. However, he suffered a torn ACL in December 2020.
The 28-year-old is targeting a healthy return in time for training camp.
