OPP identify ATV rider killed in Haldimand County crash

Ontario Provincial Police have identified the man killed in an ATV crash in Lowbanks, Haldimand County Sunday evening.

Philip Phelps, 53, of Lowbanks, was killed when he lost control and was thrown from the all terrain vehicle on Northshore Drive shortly before 6 p.m. March 14, said Haldimand County OPP.

He was initially taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died.

No other vehicles were involved and no one else was hurt.

Northshore Drive was closed between Moulton-Sherbrooke Townline and Farr Road for about six hours for the investigation.
