Raiders signing Drake to reported 2-year deal worth up to $14.5M

Former Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake is headed to the Las Vegas Raiders, his representation announced Thursday.

Drake is signing a two-year deal worth up to $14.5 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The pact includes $11 million guaranteed.

A versatile tailback, Drake has been a capable rusher and receiver since entering the NFL in 2016. He's recorded 3,130 rushing yards and 169 receptions over his five-year career.

Drake initially played for the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Cardinals during the 2019 season. The 27-year-old set career highs in rushing yards (955) and touchdowns (10) with the Cardinals in 2020.

Drake will join a Raiders backfield that features Josh Jacobs. The former first-rounder is coming off his first Pro Bowl campaign after totaling 1,065 rushing yards. However, his average yards per carry fell from 4.8 during his rookie year to 3.9 in 2020.
