David Andrews is returning to Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The veteran center is finalizing a four-year deal to re-sign with the New England Patriots, sources told ESPN's Field Yates.

Andrews, 28, has been a team captain since 2017 and helped the Patriots win two Super Bowls.

The undrafted lineman out of Georgia started 12 games last year after missing the entire 2019 campaign due to a pulmonary embolism. He's yet to allow more than two sacks in a season since entering the NFL in 2015.

New England has been one of the league's most active teams this offseason. The offensive line took a hit with the loss of guard Joe Thuney to free agency, but the arrivals of tackle Trent Brown and center Ted Karras and the return of Andrews still offer the Patriots depth within the unit.

Losing Joe Thuney hurts, but the Patriots' O-line still is looking awfully strong.

The Patriots allowed 37 sacks in 2020, ranking 19th in the NFL. The offensive line also helped the running game average 4.7 yards per carry, which placed ninth.
