Report: Rhodes returning to Colts on 1-year, $6.5M pact
The Indianapolis Colts are re-signing cornerback Xavier Rhodes to a one-year contract worth $6.5 million, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Rhodes revitalized his career with the Colts last season after signing a one-year free-agent deal following seven seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
The three-time Pro Bowler racked up two interceptions, 12 pass defenses, and 42 total tackles. Rhodes was also ranked eighth among cornerbacks by PFF.
Rhodes will return to his starting spot alongside Rock Ya-Sin and Kenny Moore.
Indianapolis has been characteristically quiet in free agency. Prior to Rhodes' deal, the AFC South club had only brought back running back Marlon Mack and picked up pass-rusher Isaac Rochell, both on small one-year contracts.
