Replacing LInux on A Dual Boot Desktop
by vw98008 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FMD9)
The Linux on my dual boot desktop starts to show a sign of aging. The Linux Mint 18.3 crashes easily and get frozen from time to time. I am thinking of replacing the Linux Mint with Deepin. Before doing anything, I need to back up important files on both Windows 10 and Linux Mint. Backing up files on Windows isn't easy. The desktop is my daily drive and I don't want to mess up anything on it. I guess that I won't do any damage if I follow this article https://itsfoss.com/replace-linux-from-dual-boot and only touch the ext4 partition. Does the article provide all essential information for the task?
