Report: Patriots finalizing new 4-year deal with Lawrence Guy
The New England Patriots may be reuniting with another familiar face.
The Patriots are working on finalizing a four-year deal with defensive tackle Lawrence Guy, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
Guy originally signed with New England in 2017 and played out his four-year, $15.3-million contract.
He's been a tough, dependable interior defender for the Pats, only missing two games in that span. Guy has racked up 235 tackles, seven sacks, and 27 quarterback hits in New England and won a Super Bowl with the team in 2018.
This offseason, the Patriots re-signed quarterback Cam Newton, running back James White, and center David Andrews, among others. They also brought back linebacker Kyle Van Noy and tackle Trent Brown after brief stints away from the team.
