How to change the display color depth in RHEL 8.3.
by billsee from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FSQ6)
I have several programs written in C++ that require a color depth of
16 bits. These work in CentOS 6.10 by editing the xorg.conf file
"screen" section. Now I am running RHEL 8.3 that has no xorg.conf
file that I can find nor does it have a menu driven way to change screen
depth as in RHEL 7. The set depth in RHEL 8.3 is 24 bits. Can I change the screen depth in RHEL 8?
