Cannot boot into GUI
by gramafon from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5FXB6)
Hi to all. I'm just new to the site as well as to the Linux World.
Linux mint 20 have Cinnamon as the default environment, but just recently GNOME started to force itself as default. I tried "sudo systemctl set-default multi-user" and then rebooted to disable GNOME on boot, but it didn't do any help with "initramfs unpacking failed: decoding failed" error. So now cannot boot into GUI, even with the 'startx' command, which gives a black screen. Is there anything I can to restore system?
