exfat no permissions and samba
by mtdew3q from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5G32W)
Hi all-
I read that a neat way to share data with windows is let windows
access a share in linux.
I also use virtualbox. I realize that I used an ntfs folder
as a transient folder to link to my linux mount point.
What does a bigger business do that wants file permissions enabled
and that isn't available as an option in exfat. I wonder why I can use ntfs with virtualbox?
Is there an example that comes to mind where you would need
permissions enabled for a file(s) and exfat isn't the filesystem type that is correct when sharing files between linux/windows?
thanks.
