shred old backup fast & secure?

With using this commandCode:find 2020-11-23.09:58 -depth -type f -exec shred -v -z -u {} \;It takes days to shred my old full 70gb backup.
Is there a way to speedup the whole process?
As someone that backups the system on regular basis this is very important to me.
