Bootable Fedora USB not allowing any downloads

A friend gave me a USB with bootable fedora on it as one of multiple options from something called Ventoy. I then used balena etcher to move only the fedora Live to a brand new 256gb flash drive. It worked, I'm using it to write this right now, but when I tried running "sudo dnf install python3-spyder", since I want to use this for python for school, the download seemed to go through until the end where it says at least 1019mb more space is required on the / filesystem. Since the drive is obviously big enough, my best guess as someone who only ever used windows is that it's a partition issue, and I have no idea how to partition properly, if that even is the issue at all. Any help would be very much appreciated.
