Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, was shot and killed by police in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, on Sunday. Protests broke out in the suburb of Minneapolis, where one of the most-watched police trials in recent memory is playing out.

Police on Monday said the shooting appeared to be an accidental discharge" and the officer had intended to use a Taser, but mistakenly drew a handgun.
