what cctv software for motion detected by webcam

Can anyone suggest suitable cctv software to use with USB webcam (logitech C925e) on a desktop? What I hope to do is capture clear images on motion only. The OS is Debian 9. This would only be activated when no one is legitimately in the premises (to detect day-time burglary which had just happened a few days ago).
Alternatively I can use a Lenovo Thinkpad webcam or even both (it looks like the thieves (yet to be identified) were only looking for cash (which they found) and - unless apprehended - are likely to come back expecting more.
A proper cctv installation is not justified.
