Two found dead in Simcoe home

Two people were found dead inside a home in Simcoe on Thursday morning.

According to Sgt. Ed Sanchuk of Norfolk County OPP, officers and paramedics went to the home on Lynwood Avenue to check on the well-being of the occupants" and found a deceased man and a woman inside.

Forensic investigators were called to the scene, and Sanchuk said the OPP crime unit is investigating the circumstances around the two deaths.

Police have not publicly identified the deceased, whose bodies were taken to Toronto for a post-mortem exam.

The investigation continues.
